A couple of weeks ago we asked our China Coordinator to ask our agency's contact in China whether or not our daughter had a Cleft Palate in addition to her Cleft Lip. When we received her referral information the medical had mixed diagnoses. We had waited to ask since we were asking more important questions at the time and didn't want to bother them. We quickly received the news that she only had a Cleft Lip. We were very excited to hear this wonderful news. This means no surgeries for our little one to endure when she returns home, less therapy and better eating habits. At this point she will just have to have one small surgery around Kindergarten to touch up her scar tissue and nose. We are so happy!
