1st Homestudy Visit

Tonight we had our first Homestudy Visit with our Social Worker. She had told me that this visit would be short but would be boring for Owen and Cade. Dedra was nice enough to let the boys play with Noah and Caleb while we meet. Our SW came to the house at 5:30 to meet with Brian and I. She took a tour of the house and asked a few basic questions about it. She gave us a notebook containing the Villa Hope Adoption Reading Material that we are required to read. We then discussed the key topics that were discussed in the On-line courses and at the Seminar. Total vist about an hour. We then scheduled our next visit for Tuesday night. At this visit the boys will be present. She will interview Brian and I seperately and meet the boys. The next and last visit will just be a short visit to review the typed Homestudy and add anything necessary.
The first visit went real smoothly. Our SW is very nice and we feel very comfortable with her.
