- Brian and I have been married 13 years this December. We have 3 amazing children, Owen 8, Cade 6 and Faith 4. God called Brian and I to adopt in the Spring of 2010. This blog documented our journey to China as we brought home Faith Lei on November 23, 2011. This fall we started the adoption process again to complete our family with a 2nd daughter, Lydia Li.

- April 9th Receipt from Immigration
- March 27th Received Pre-Approval and submitted I800 paperwork
- Homestudy Complete
- March 17th Submitted Letter of Intent to Adopt
- March 3rd Put Jin LiYa's file on Hold
- October 2013, Application to Lifeline

- April 16th: Application Delivered to Villa Hope
- April 21st: Information Meeting/1st Homestudy Meeting
- April 29th: Fingerprints Taken
- April 30th: Fingerprint Packet Mailed to SBCN
- June 10th: Fingerprints/Background Clearance Received
- June/July: Worked on Course Work and Paperwork
- August 2nd: Delivered Al Application to Villa Hope, Wait begins for DHR Clearance 4-6 weeks
- Sept 3rd: Need to resend DHR Clearance Form due to dates timed out, Assigned Social Worker
- Sept 11th: IAC Seminar, Met Social Worker, Scheduled 1st Meeting
- Sept 13th: 1st Official Homestudy Meeting with Social Worker
- Sept 21st: 2nd Homestudy Meeting
- Sept 27th: DHR Child Abuse Clearance received!
- Oct 6th: Final Homestudy Visit
- Oct 27th: Homestudy Approved!
- Nov 2nd: I800A sent to Immigration
- Nov 9th:Paula Medical
- Nov 19th: Background Checks
- Nov 22nd: Brian Medical
- Dec 2nd:Biometric Fingerprints Taken
- Dec 7th: Psychological Test
- Jan 3rd: I-797/Immigration Approval Arrived
- Jan 3rd: 8 Forms Authenticated Sec of State
- Jan 17th: Final Forms Authenticated from Sec of State
- Jan 27th: Documents back from China Consulate in Houston
- Jan 31st: Dossier to China!!!!!!
- Feb 21st: Logged In!! List goes out!!
- April 25th: Received Referral at 8:02 pm!
- April 26th: Medical reviewed by IAC, Accepted Referral after talking to Dr. Chambers at 9:45 pm.
- April 27th: CC sent our LOI to China!
- May 6th: PreApproval to adopt Hu WuLei!!
- Aug 18th: LOA!!! Finally!!!
- Sept 12th: I-800 Approval
- Sept 20th: NVC letter/ Cabeled?
- Oct 17th: Article 5 at CCWA
- Nov 10: Gotcha Day
Love these pictures! She is just too adorable! BTW, we have the same play crib...does yours stay together well? I had to hot glue ours to keep it from falling apart every time Lucy touched it. LOL

ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS!! How precious is your little princess! The second picture... be still my heart. I cannot wait to see her toddling around my pool this summer in her swimsuit and shades. ;) And I love the one of her feeding the baby. I just love them all.
