Past due update!

After the last post, our CC emailed us that she was working on getting us an earlier date. I told Brian I had faith in her and that she probably would work something out. On Sunday night we receive an email from her saying they confirmed that we had the appointment on the 21st. Yay!! Just the news we wanted to hear. Our agency then told us the dates to arrive/leave China and Brian worked with our Travel Agent to schedule our plane tickets to and from China. Our agency is now working on our hotels and in country travel. Our schedule has us leaving for China on November 8th, getting Faith on the 10th, leaving Chengdu City on the 16th, Medical appointment a day or two after arriving in Guangzhou, Embassy appointment on the 21st, Faith's visa the 22nd and home the 23rd. My emotions have been up and down. We are so excited about finally getting Faith but sad that we have to leave the boys. We have never been away from them for more than 2 nights so it will be a hard 2 weeks and 3 days. We will just have to focus on Faith and know that my Mom and Joyce will take good care of the boys. This is a trip of a lifetime and we want to treasure every moment! So for now we are packing and trying to get everything taken care of. It is amazing how you can plan for something for soo long yet when the time arrives there is so much left to do. I felt much better after Mom came Tuesday and we were able to get a lot of shopping accomplished.

People have asked what to pray for...the main thing on my mind right now is everyone's health. Brian had a culture done last week because of a bad sinus infection. Monday the results came in that he has a MRSA (staph) sinus infection. So of course I am worried about him and the possibility of him getting worse in China. Also there is a chance he could spread it to the boys or me. He is being treated and on Monday he will go back to get another culture. Also, today Owen woke up sick and the doctor confirmed it was strep throat...and Cade has a bad cold. So please pray that everyone will get better quickly!!

Take off for China is 4:00 am Tuesday morning! Can't wait to meet Faith!
